We strive to joyfully serve our local and global community through ongoing and seasonal community outreach. If you are looking for other Parish Ministries, please check out our Ministries page!
Our current activities include:
Donated items are brought to the Needham Food Pantry. The Needham Food Pantry provides much needed assistance to those in our community who struggle to feed themselves and their families. Please leave any items you would like donated at the entrance to the church. If you would like to be involved in bringing the food to the Needham Food Pantry, please contact Kathy Whitney at (781) 444-3434. (Please note: The Food Pantry is not currently accepting food donations. Please do not leave donations at the church. Ways in which you can assist the Food Pantry can be found by clicking here.)
Our GIFT prayer group meets on Wednesday mornings after the 9 am Mass for fellowship and prayer. If you are interested in being a part of the group, please come on over to the parish office after Mass on Wednesday and join us! Contact us at (781) 444-3434 for more information.
We provide the Holy Eucharist to those unable to attend Mass (at home, in the hospital or at nursing homes). If you are interested in receiving the Holy Eucharist, but are unable to attend Mass (or know someone who is), please contact us at (781) 444-3434 to schedule a visit. If you are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister and ministering to the homebound, or those in nursing homes, please contact us as well.
The group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 am in the O’Brien room at the parish office. Call the parish office for more information at (781) 444-3434.
Our generous parish nurses provide free blood pressure screenings and tracking. They are available at Community Sunday (first Sunday of the month) between the 8:00 am and 9:45 am Masses.
If you have a prayer request, please call the parish office at (781) 444-3434 and we will add your request to the prayer line. If you would like to join our group, please call the office for more information.
Our students participate in an annual service project. The scope and recipients are student driven and vary by year, but some past projects have included crocheting scarves for the homeless, making blankets for the Animal Shelter, collecting food for the Needham food pantry, making bracelets for care packages for soldiers, collecting clothing for Cradles2Crayons, collecting money to build wells in Uganda, collecting sports equipment and books to send to Uganda, making rosaries for Build the Faith etc.
Special projects include our annual Giving Tree, and Lenten alms giving. See our bulletin during the Advent and Lenten seasons for more information about our efforts, and those we support. In past years we have collected warm items to be donated to Catholic Charities, funds for the Daughters of St. Paul, funds for St. Francis House, funds for CRS, funds to build wells in Uganda and supported the Needham Food Pantry.
