Adult Education and Faith Formation is an important component of our efforts to evangelize and create disciples to spread the Good News of the Gospel. Throughout the year, we offer weekly courses which run for 6-8 weeks.  We also have periodic and seasonal opportunities for learning about the faith and deepening our relationship with God.  Please contact us for more information.  

Fall Bible Study

Starting in October, St. Bartholomew and St. Joseph parishes will be offering an bible study.  Please check the bulletin or call the office for more information (781-444-3434).

Thursday Morning Adult Formation

Offered during the academic year, these classes aim at deepening our understanding and sharing our faith with fellow classmates.  Check out our bulletin for our current topic (and contact the rectory with any requests).  Attendance at all classes in a session is not necessary… please join us as you are able.  We meet Thursday mornings from 10:00 – 11:00 am.

G.I.F.T. (Growing In Faith Together) Prayer Group

Our GIFT prayer group meets on Wednesday mornings after the 9 am Mass for fellowship and prayer. If you are interested in being a part of the group, please come on over to the parish office after Mass on Wednesday and join us! Contact us at 781-444-3434 for more information.

Men’s Prayer Group

The group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 am in the O’Brien room at the parish office. Call the parish office for more information at (781) 444-3434.

Catholic Spirituality

In addition to the weekly educational opportunities listed above we also offer shorter studies on prayer, spirituality, being Catholic, retreats etc. These shorter studies are offered at various times throughout the year, so check out our bulletin or parish calendar to see what is available.

The goals of these short courses, led by parish staff or guest speakers, are to help us to grow in our understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church, to grow in our faith and our relationship to God as well as to learn to apply our faith to our everyday experiences. These courses are generally offered Sunday afternoons and/or Monday or Tuesday evenings.
