St. Padre Pio:  “The Rosary is the weapon for these times.”
Pope Paul VI:  ” The Rosary takes its inspiration from the Gospel to suggest the attitude with which the faithful should recite it.”
St. Gregory of Nazianzus: ” We must remember God more often than we draw breath.”

The Rosary is usually said with the help of the Rosary Beads. Baskets of them can be found at the church’s entrances. Please take one, if you wish. Some who have no beads often use their fingers. The Rosary can be said wherever you are, whenever you can find a moment of peace. The booklets explaining how to say the Rosary are found in church at the entrances. The Rosary is a Scripture-based prayer in which in our meditation we focus on the entire life of Jesus Christ. It contains a summary of all the great mysteries of our Catholic faith. This  well known prayer is believed to have been given to St . Dominic by Our Lady in the thirteenth century for a reflection on the life of Christ and how Mary was called upon to cooperate in His saving works.

It begins with: Sign of the Cross

The Apostles’ Creed, followed by an Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Glory Be…. on the first three beads.

Conclusion Prayers: Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To you do we cry poor banished children of Eve, to you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!  Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.  In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
